There&#039;s no point in having this new &quot;attention economy&quot; called the blogosphere if we just wind up erecting the same kind of gates and gatekeepers we had before -- which is why I guess I reacted to Scott&#039;s use of the term. The best thing about technorati and memeorandum and other tools (yes, even digg) is that they help to democratize the process somewhat and allow new voices in. That&#039;s what I&#039;m always looking for -- in fact, it&#039;s why I came to your blog in the first place.</description>
