Man you're again so right. I had a personal webpage up in 1997. 1997!!! And I was pretty much doing the same thing I'm doing with my blog-- except I was doing it ALL BY MYSELF. Now I just post, publish, lather, rinse and repeat. It's easy. And thank goodness, because doggone it if life didn't get a whole heckuva lot harder.

Kent, I have to admit your analysis is correct. As much as I'd like for blogs to be more "world-changing", it is really the individuals with the ideas and the desire to share knowledge. Modern blogs are just a tool to get it done - CMS for the masses if you will.

Totally right, Kent. And I notice from the fine print on your old page that you made the front of Money magazine in 1999, and your portfolio was up 40% at that point. I hope you didn't lose it all when the bubble burst like I did :-) I didn't make the front of Money, but my financial website (which no longer exists) was "Site of the Day" in Worth magazine in 1996. Everything old is new again.
