More RSS Feed Problems

A bunch of my older posts and the newest one just showed up in Bloglines as partial feeds.

As I mentioned the other day, I have my accounts configured for full feeds. I am trying to figure out why this happens occasionally. But rest assured, I am a firm believer in full feeds.

  • There's a few rumors circulating - mostly in techno-pundit chat rooms - that Google is attempting to save bandwith by converting entries in RSS feeds on its blogger service to partial text/excerpt after a certain date. It's unknown whether this affects FTP published blogger blogs, or whether it's even happening to all blogs.

    I can't confirm that this is happening, but then again, neither can anyone else. Quite honestly, the groups that have been discussing it, aren't willing to put forth enough time to create hundreds of Blogger accounts, and update them (even with Lipsum text) for a long while. Google, as one would expect, as been silent in response to our queries on the subject.
