That makes sense:before October you could pick up pings form ping-o-matic via http://pingomatic.com/stats/100Even though it still is linked from http://pingomatic.com/statsit does not work anymore.Verisign bought weblogs.com Their service works:http://www.weblogs.com/api.htmlMaybe they should add a simple web interface like ping-o-matic? Or make it easier to find if it does exist. At least we know now why BlogsNow did not pay any attention to your weblog anymore.

Thanks for commenting Andreas.I generally ping via Ping-O-Matic (though I welcome any suggestions for others), except for Technorati, which I either ping directly or just let it find my posts on its own. I haven’t changed anything since last October, other than I don’t know if I used Ping-O-Matic way back then. I may not have been pinging anyone back then other than Technorati.

it’s perfectly ok for you not to like BlogsNow: As long there are enough tools for you that do a better job, and you are not depending on one you don’t like it’s all good. But BlogsNow should still love you I just checked and you seem to have pinged against 2 URLs:http://www.newsome.orghttp://www.newsome.org/index.shtmlwhere BlogsNow found 267 and 393 links from you. The problem is, that the last time BlogsNow has seen a ping from you was October 8 and October 18 last year. BlogsNow reads along the usual ping lists. Did you stop notifying them around that time last year?
