I like Writely, but it is not ready to be used in an office setting. The files still have a fair amount of issues with formatting when saving to either Word or OpenOffice formats. One that has been driving me crazy recently is when I save a file to Word/OpenOffice, tabs get converted to 4 spaces. They need to stay as tabs.As for the security aspect, if Google would get an file encryption service plugin, like PGP, then all the files sitting on their server would be encrypted and safe and only viewable to people with the encryption key.
