If they work sharing a common protocol, people would use it like crazy and the IM companies could include some advertising into their own IM product and make a gazillion dollars. I've never understood why that hasn't happened yet. It is so odd that they wouldn't do whatever possible to increase ad revenue. I don’t understand the IM companies.
