"though I miss the status bar at the bottom of the screen that tells me if the target page is loading or stalled"Right click on the address bar and click on 'Customize...'. From the 'Progress bar' drop-down menu, select 'Pop-up at bottom'. Simple!Even after your specifying that Opera is better than Firefox in (almost) every feature, you end up saying that Firefox is better! Ridiculous!!

Opera 9 comes off to me as a browser that has "cool" features. It's not an everyday browser like Firefox is.There are a couple of p2p Firefox projects going on at the moment; AllPeers and MozTorrent. I'd rather have it like that where it's optional (as an extension), rather than something forced on me.Widgets are not necessary by any means either. I don't understand why they had to incorporate that into the browser. I currently use the Yahoo Widget application for that. Vista will have its own, and the Mac OS does so right now. What's fair though...is to compare Firefox 2 when it comes out in a couple of months to Opera 9.
