6/25/2006RanchoCast - June 24, 2006 Edition
I did a new podcast yesterday.
I played some gems by the Cranberries, the Smiths, the Cure and others. I ended the show with a great live rock jam by Humble Pie I also talked a little about blogger conferences and digital photography. Click here to listen or download. Podzinger users can get it here. Tags:

One mistaken assumption you made was that good photographers know specifically what they're going to want before they take the shots. Maybe the other guys do, but I tend to know *somewhat* what I'm going for but the power of digital is the ability to experiment without penalty. It's knowing how to adapt for different goals - what specific adjustments to make - that is the real key. Another key thing that most photographers do is publish only their best work. I've heard interviews where some very talented professionals might only get 3 or 4 "keepers" from a 36exposure roll of film. In fact they'd be happy with that. But of course you only see their best work. There are many many many shots of my daughter and other subjects that will never see the online light of day ;) Glad to hear you're enjoying your new passion.
