Buggy Like a Fox?

I love Firefox, and it is hard for me to imagine changing browsers.  But I have had nothing but crash after crash since updating to version 1.5.0.7 a couple of days ago.  Among the many web sites that consistently crash Firefox, but work in IE, are the Time Warner, Houston page, Feedburner and Webshots (which is a great application for hosting images like the one below).

I expect I am not the only person having these problems.

I haven't seen any problems since I upgraded. I would suggest disabling your extensions, bringing them back, one by one. There may be one that's conflicting.

You are lucky. I've got bigger problems. On one computer at work, Firefox hangs all-the-time. I even re-installed Firefox, re-OSed and it still hangs. I think it's related to the hardware. I filled a bug 18 months ago. They gave up trying to help me after about 6 months.

I'm not using any extensions (gasp!) and FireFox has been taking a dive way more than I care to tolerate. I am running FF and Opera (Kubuntu Dapper) in parallel, where one will pave over the other, soon. Opera isn't completely to my liking but crashing isn't an issue. Hopefully FF works out the kinks, soon.
