At first I hoped this was some sort of bad joke, but it appears that Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, has been killed by a sting-ray while filming an underwater documentary in Queensland.
I watched a lot of Crocodile Hunter with my kids, and have always appreciated the way he made learning about animals so fun.
This a real bummer.
