Some of my most fond memories are of playing games with my own family. My kid's favorites are the old standby UNO and Jenga. There's something magical about playing with your kids. ;o)Hugs,HollyHolly's CornerHere via the Carnvial of Family Fun ;o)

Great post! I don't know why I've never thought to play our car games (like I Spy) in the restaurant when we're trying to keep them occupied! One of our favorite car games is The Spelling Game. We spell the name of an animal, and our 5 year old guesses by making the sound of the animal. Our two year old listens to the sound and guesses the animal. It's a good way to keep it challenging, but fun, for both of them. I imagine our one year old will be joining soon, too!

We played tons of games growing up and still do. It's one of our favorite things to do at family get togethers. some of our favorites were, yahtzee, aggrevation, memory, doing puzzles together, card games of all kinds, scattegories, scrabble, and lots more that just aren't coming to me right now.Good for you for playing games, not many families do now days it seems.

Great post! I love car games and family soccer games. I have 4 kids. The oldest two play AYSO, and the next one is two. I like to take those three to the park and let #3 try and take their soccer ball. They have to follow standard soccer rules, (ie: no hands, pushing, etc.) #3 can do whatever he wants to get the ball. This helps the older two get stronger at their focus and footwork.
