Go Fly a Kite

A friend of mine sent me a link to this amazing video.  It's hard to believe one person can do this.  Beautiful.

People are amazing.

I love how you think you've seen it all in a field, such as kites, and then someone comes along and blows it wide open again.

I just flew a kite for the first time in 50 years. Saw the San Diego Kite Club flying kites at Mission Bay. The first person I met was Ron Despojado, multiple AKA Grand Champion (I lucked out) and he said "Go get a kite and I'll help you fly it."

I had an amazing day with a Spider I picked up Kite Country. Ron, Bill, David, and others were a great help. In a couple of hours I was doing pretty good.

So I get back home feeling great and hit the web to see what is out there regarding kites...wow, I discovered this vid which really is incredible. Thanks alot. Yes people are amazing. One of the sites I saw was on kite flying in Afganastan before the war.

I'm wondering what he's using to maneuver his central kite ;)
