9/28/2007Newsome.Org Friday Night Music Video Hootenanny (Volume 5)Volume 5 starts out with some great live Whiskeytown and a Phil Lesh & Friends cover of one of my favorite Ryan Adams songs, featuring vocals by Joan Osborne. Then comes a short interview and classic number by Townes Van Zandt. Thunderclap Newman is next, followed by live Fleetwood Mac from 1977. A live Beatles number fills slot number 6 for those who are starting to forget how the Beatles revolutionized rock music. Next is a fantastic song from Orpheus. Some live REM from 1985 wraps up this week's hootenanny. Link for feeds (it's worth a click). For those in search of more hand-picked music videos: Hootenanny Volume 1 Enjoy. Tell your friends.
