Glad you're back - even if you do sound a mite tetchy.FYO the reason I read your blog is not so much for the subject matter but for your opinions. You're one of those rare honest voices that tells it as you see it without a hidden agenda. In terms of what to write about - I suggest you blog exactly when you want, about exactly what you wish. Most of us readers would consider that a fair deal. I would wish you a Merry Christmas but I won't, just in case it upsets you.

"it led me to delete about 140 blogs from my personal reading list" - very flattered to see mine is still there - thanks.I'm about where you are with Bloglines - it hasn't jerked me around quite enough to switch yet. Now we just need to get you back on Twitter ;-)

I can get back to reading (or not) and writing (or not) blogs that genuinely interest me.Sounds like a plan. FYI only - that's pretty much what attracted me to your writing from the get-go. I switched quietly from Bloglines to Google Reader, being fed up with the usual crapola with that service. It's "free" either way, so I shouldn't complain, but BL ceased to be of any use to me when it would crap out on me and stop showing updates to feeds. It wasn't a problem at my end.Speaking of - is that Twitter dealie on your sidebar serving an actual purpose? Maybe I have a persistent cache entry, but it hasn't been updated for 74 days as of this comment - which to my knowledge is kinda anti-Twittery. :-)Thanks to Blogger, I can't "sign" my comment, so trust me, I'm "that" Ethan.

Hello,I was just wondering what a few of your gripes were with Google Reader. I'm an avid user, and would like a different take on it. Maybe not 1000 pages but... a few key points?--Josh
