I have a really hard time stomaching the amount of control I would be giving Apple. It's the same basic concern I have with the Kindle. It's not that Apple and Amazon are particularly dastardly corporations, but I just can't put myself in their hands — however capable they may be.

Google should simply publish their app on their website. Screw some store. All other phones and computer products allow installation of software in many ways, but no, Apple has to control you!runescape items

It drives me crazy the extent to which a lot of Apple fans will sign over their computing/phoning experience to a single entity (and meanwhile criticize Microsoft for being a quarter as controlling), so I appreciate this post (and posts like it) a great deal. Whatever the appeal of the iPhone, I have a really hard time stomaching the amount of control I would be giving Apple. It's the same basic concern I have with the Kindle.
